Beia, na sua visão, um futuro com Zero Acidentes é utopia ou pode ser realidade?
Em toda utopia está inserida a ideia do possível. Você acredita nela. Eu acho possível, do mesmo jeito que zero crime em Nova Iorque era uma utopia. Hoje a cidade vive seu momento mais seguro em décadas. Para se alcançar um objetivo, mesmo que ele pareça utópico, tem que haver metas claras. E nós precisamos ter esse objetivo.
Na sua opinião, o que é necessário para um futuro com zero mortos e feridos no trânsito?
Nós estamos na entrada da terceira década do século 21 e as pessoas se referem a este século como se ele tivesse acabado de começar. A maioria das pessoas ainda age como se estivesse em 2001. Uma das coisas que a gente faz, e que não tem a ver com o século 21, é fazer as coisas para o outro. Eu vou criar uma campanha para os jovens, para os caminhoneiros, para as mulheres. Fazer alguma coisa para alguém, para um grupo é uma coisa que tem a ver com hierarquia, já que tenho os meios para isso, ou porque eu sou melhor, ou porque eu tenho autoridade. No século 21 a gente faz as coisas junto com os outros e não para os outros. E para fazer “junto com” a gente tem que ouvir as pessoas, independente do grupo com o qual você queira se comunicar. É necessário chamar as pessoas, apresentar o problema, os números, e perguntar: o que podemos fazer?
O caminho para se chegar a zero acidentes ainda é longo?
Para falar de Zero Acidentes temos que passar pelo autocuidado. Quando você olha para as pessoas que dirigem e falam no celular, você está falando de todo mundo, independente do grau de instrução ou da classe social. Apenas algumas pessoas já estão na adolescência. E precisamos chegar rapidamente à maturidade do autocuidado para estendermos isso à sociedade.
Pouquíssimo tempo atrás, estamos falando de 8 anos, 10 anos, você ia a lugares bacanas, num restaurante, tocava o celular, a pessoa atendia e falava muito alto. Hoje, é muito raro você ver isso. Ou seja, houve uma evolução da infância para a adolescência e para idade adulta. As pessoas já entenderam que não dá para ter esse comportamento, pela própria força da sociedade.
Cabe a nós, que já estamos conscientizados, que já fizemos a universidade do autocuidado, iniciar essa mudança. A meta do zero é muito forte. E tem que ser assim para ter força de engajamento. Vamos lutar por zero crimes, por zero álcool e direção, para que haja zero acidente.
Acredita que a solução pode estar nas novas gerações?
Sim. Se você tiver que escolher um público para investir em formação, o melhor investimento é na Geração Z (de 9 a 21 anos) e Geração A (até 9 anos). As pessoas dessas gerações são as que vão falar “lógico que tem que ser acidente zero”. “Acidente mata gente e eu não quero matar gente”. Para eles não é utópico, para eles é óbvio. “Não queremos matar gente, não queremos ter acidente, não queremos que as pessoas fiquem tetraplégicas”.
Essas gerações nasceram com as células para viver em 2050, para achar o que vai acontecer em 2050 normal. As outras gerações conviverão com o futuro, mas vão achar uma loucura. Então, são essas novas gerações que sabem das coisas no futuro, e sabem porque têm as células para isso. E são esses novos cidadãos que terão a força de trabalho e estarão pensando o mundo daqui a 20, 30 anos.
Para as pessoas que estão no trânsito hoje, suscetíveis a sofrer um acidente, a tecnologia, pode ser uma aliada na redução de acidentes?
Com certeza. É o que estamos esperando. Quando você olha para as potencialidades da tecnologia, você consegue ver inúmeras coisas benéficas e inúmeras maléficas. A gente tem que lutar para que as coisas benéficas se realizem.
O ser humano, apesar de sua inteligência, é um ser movido a emoções. O celular toca e ele não deveria atender porque está dirigindo, mas é a namorada ou o namorado e ele vai atender. Por que? Porque a emoção está falando primeiro. Então, a tecnologia usada para “corrigir” nossos impulsos emocionais, no sentido de nos alertar, ajuda na correção de rota. Ajuda a quebrar resistências. A resistência é natural do ser humano. Você resiste em deixar o telefone de lado quando está na direção, assim como você resiste em levantar mais cedo para se exercitar, ou resiste em fazer dieta. Você não vai, naturalmente, fazer essas coisas. A ação para quebrar essa resistência tem que ser forte. Tem que pegar pelo coração.
